Responsibilities

  • Provides consultation, advice and employee relations support to assigned Business Unit Leaders, Managers and employees consistent with HR policies and procedures. Monitors and analyzes business unit goals and trends to assist in the design of HR programs that drive desired outcomes and strategic goals.
  • Collaborates with other Senior HR Managers on complex, high exposure employee relations issues and trends. Provides advice, coaching and guidance to employees and managers for conflict resolution. Acts as employee advocate. Handles sensitive communication and correspondence.
  • Works with Business Unit Leaders to determine proper staffing levels and assists with workforce, retention, & succession planning and associated restructures. Participates in reduction in force activities. Monitor’s business unit recruitment needs to ensure requirements are being met in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Drives the Performance Management process including objective/goal setting, performance reviews, and salary recommendations for assigned business groups. Provides performance management advice and coaching in an effort to manage high and low performers. Analyzes compensation data quickly and accurately to provide recommendations on salary, bonus and incentives.
  • Knowledgeable on employment law and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations. Keeps abreast of Human Resource and industry trends and makes appropriate recommendations.
  • Serves as liaison to the HR Service Center to assist employees in resolving employee questions and issues. Acts as a back-up resource for the HRSC and Compensation/Benefits team in handling general worker’s compensation and disability inquiries.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.
