The primary responsibilities include cubicle design and integration, creating documentation such as Bill of Materials, coordinating with cubicle manufacturers, preparing design specifications, participating in design reviews, collaborating with stakeholders, validating design drawings from sub-suppliers, and providing support during tests and commissioning.
What qualifications are required for this job?
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical field is required, along with prior experience with HVDC projects and at least three years of work experience in the UK.
Is site experience in control and protection testing mandatory?
No, site experience in control and protection testing and commissioning is advantageous but not mandatory.
What software proficiency is preferred for this role?
Experience with CAD tools for control systems, such as Engineering Base or Ruplan, is highly valued.
Is knowledge of EMC or AC sub-stations considered an asset?
Yes, having EMC knowledge or experience with AC sub-stations and control systems is considered a plus.
Will there be opportunities for travel in this position?
