Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in supply chain, business administration, logistics, finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or other technical degree
  • Recent and Relevant indirect procurement experience.
  • Able to relate well with individuals at various levels, inside and outside of the organization.
  • Demonstrated analytical and organisational skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of sourcing/purchasing methods and negotiation skills
  • Involvement in external professional groups
  • Proficient with SAP and Ariba.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage vendors and contractors to ensure Lubrizol’s deliverables are met.
  • Category & sub category management.
  • Use RFIs (request for information) and RFQs (request for quotations) / RFPs (request for proposals) to identify best supply source.
  • Ensure current commercial contracts and Alliance Agreements are being followed.
  • Locate and assist with qualifying supply sources.
  • Act professionally in all work activities in a legal and ethical manner in compliance with applicable laws and support compliance of all corporate policies and regional/local Health, Safety, Environmental and Security practices.
  • Negotiate restocking fees, freight terms, payment terms and all areas that enhance value.
  • Ensure contracts are being followed and continually improve price, quality, and service.
  • Work with requisitioners to ensure PO’s are clear and accurately reflect internal needs
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings, reductions, rebates.
  • Ensure master data is accurate to allow efficient order processing and payment.
  • Assist buying staff to implement contracts and fully leverage Lubrizol's spend.
  • Perform GR/IR reconciliation in order to solve issues including blocking invoices.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors.
  • Build strong internal customer relationships.
  • Train and educate others about purchasing process.
