Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Manager, Insurance & Risk this role is responsible for coordinating and overseeing a portfolio of key risk management programs at the University of Lethbridge. This includes providing interpretation of insurance policy to various stakeholders, conducting insurance audits, advising on annual and new insurance program renewals. In partnership with the Manager, this role administers and supports the management of central registration systems such as certificates of insurance and enterprise travel. Liaises with various stakeholders to understand their needs and perform insurance gap analysis to provide guidance relative to risk programs that align with the institutional operational risk. Analyze and provide input on the automation of various insurance activities to improve the efficiency of the insurance administration. This position will also be responsible to administer the Workers Compensation program for students (Human Resources administers Workers Compensation program for employees).
