Responsibilities

  • Be the "Summer Sales" figurehead for all the Irish spaces running a summer business.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the local hotel & budget accommodation markets based on intelligence and knowledge of competitor activity and rates.
  • Create group contracts from start to finish
  • Negotiate all group contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
  • Work with our OTA partners to ensure we are maximizing profits and negotiate commission.
  • Conduct site visits and tours for all summer groups and clients.
  • Produce accurate and timely, weekly, monthly and annual reporting that meets the needs of Area Manager.
  • Participate in the annual summer budgeting and proposition process as required by the client.
  • Complete and execute summer sales plan, review and update in line with strategy and summer business needs.
  • Yield Management and rate setting for all 11 spaces in Ireland.
  • Overall accountability for the summer business performance.
  • Act as a link all year round with the Yugo finance team for summer income reconciliation - creating spreadsheets and consolidating the financial data from our OTA's and PMS in the correct format so it can be uploaded directly to NetSuite by our finance team.
  • Work with the Yugo Insights team to ensure accurate reporting of summer income to our Power BI reports.
  • Oversee the management of Rentasbi and social media sales enquiries for both summer and academic year bookings for Ireland.
  • Escalate complaints that come through OTA channels to the correct teams immediately to get timely response to any queries
  • Roll out training on the summer booking system to all Irish employees.
  • Provide support to the site teams during the academic year sales cycle to drive sales
  • Support the area manager in other sales activities during the downtime periods after and before summer.
