What is the main purpose of the IT Infrastructure Support Technician role?
The main purpose of the role is to provide day-to-day hands-on technical support for corporate and customer managed IT infrastructure and projects, delivering a quality 24/7 service to internal users and clients.
What kind of tasks will I be responsible for in this position?
You will be responsible for installing and configuring hardware, resolving technical issues, administering corporate servers and applications, building PCs and laptops, and managing A/V equipment, among other tasks.
What experience or qualifications are required for this job?
Mandatory qualifications include an HND/Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or at least 5 years of relevant experience, along with a broad range of technical skills, sound knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments, and experience in 1st/2nd line support roles.
Is there an on-call requirement for this position?
Yes, you will be part of a 24/7 on-call IT rota to respond to emergencies, including remote access or site visits as needed.
