  • The Candidate:
  • Experience in developing Power BI reports or working with other visualisation/reporting tools.
  • Educated to GCSE standard or an equivalent NVQ level, or demonstrable application of information management subject matter knowledge and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in data related discipline desirable.
  • Microsoft Certified Data Analysts Associate desirable.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, with particular focus on MS Excel.
  • Experience working with DAX and M Query desirable.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong communication skills including written and oral.
  • Highly organised and capable of managing multiple concurrent tasks, whilst maintaining effective judgment in prioritising and time allocation.
  • Highly adaptable and able to maintain focus and determination in a changing environment.
  • Data capture, analysis and reporting.
  • Operating to a variety of processes and procedures for information management.
  • Ensuring service excellence to fulfil customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Support in translating business needs to technical specifications.
  • Maintain and support data analytics platforms.
  • Help in conducting unit testing and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI systems.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.
  • Support in developing and executing database queries and conducting analysis.
  • Create visualisations and reports for requested projects.
  • Develop visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop.
  • Connect data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business Intelligence.
  • Think analytically for translating data into informative reports and visuals.
  • Capable of implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
  • Should have an edge over making DAX queries in Power BI desktop.
  • Expert in using advanced-level calculations on the data set.
  • Responsible for design methodology and project documentaries.
  • Administer BI governance framework, including the processing of ServiceNow/SM9 service requests for the publishing of Power BI reports.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of data analytical and reporting technologies, processes, procedures and systems.
  • The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.
