Responsibilities

  • Set-up and run laboratory experiments
  • Analyze test specimens
  • Perform tasks on projects relating to materials selection and corrosion testing and analysis (this includes experimental setup, data collection, and data reporting).
  • Inspect, test, repair, and install equipment.
  • Work in one or more areas of technical expertise to develop the capability of working independently on project activities while performing work under the supervision of the project investigator.
  • Follow the Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality Assurance program on projects.
  • Record research activities performed in the lab book.
  • Other duties as assigned – i.e., solution preparation, cleaning test cells, moving items throughout the lab, calibrating equipment (following a prescribed procedure).
