Requirements

  • The incumbent must be able to learn and follow laundry procedures and practices; learn to operate the washers/dryers; to push and pull loaded laundry carts; to iron and fold linens neatly; and to follow oral and written instructions, and understand material safety data sheets.
  • The incumbent must be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills; being tactful, courteous, and diplomatic with internal and external contacts. Must be able to adapt to rapid change, and must be able to intervene promptly in crisis/emergency situations.
  • Understand and have a working knowledge of our Time Care System, washers/dryers.

Responsibilities

  • This position assumes the authority, responsibility and accountability of providing an adequate supply of linens/personal clean clothing to meet the needs of the students and facility.
  • This position works within the guidelines of ACCC policies/procedures, State and Federal Laws, Rules, and Regulations.
  • The laundry worker performs assigned laundry duties promptly and accurately to assure all departments receive a clean and adequate supply of linens/personal clothing.
  • Follows laundry policies and practices.
  • Operates all equipment according to manuals.
  • In addition to the functions described above, this role may include other responsibilities and duties as assigned, based upon ACCC needs and or requirements.
