Responsibilities

  • Lead a manufacturing engineering support team of engineers and technicians to provide, ramp, and sustain a lean manufacturing process for mass production of battery systems
  • Provide production systems & tools, certifying them for usage with the highest safety, quality, and output standards
  • Generate process documentation for use in operations and maintenance
  • Oversee technician/operator equipment training
  • Use lean manufacturing concepts to optimize product flow and line efficiency by creating or enhancing tools, jigs, stations, work processes, and ergonomics
  • Lead technical projects within manufacturing to improve process capacity, capability, yield and maintainability
  • Develop an effective machine maintenance program with adequate spares inventory
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet, and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively, making customer issues a priority
