Responsibilities

  • The Department of Film & Media is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and well-organised applicant to the role of Lecturer in Digital Arts to teach on the BA (Hons) Computer Games Programming and Design course, (as well as other degree courses where appropriate).
  • The successful applicant will have industry knowledge of both computer games programming and game design, and an up-to-date working knowledge of the fast paced nature of the profession.
  • The ability to lesson plan for seminars and deliver lectures is a must and the successful candidate must be efficient using both Unity and Unreal Engine’s C# and C++ software.
  • They must be resourceful, self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, be a good team worker and be able to demonstrate an aptitude to problem solve requests while dealing tactfully with students.
  • The ability to work under pressure is essential.
