Responsibilities

  • 1. Negotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure documents accurately reflect commercial decisions and enable the business to meet its strategic priorities, whilst at all times remaining consistent with legal and regulatory obligations.
  • 2. Getting involved with wider commercial issues and helping the business to achieve its strategic and fiscal objectives whilst maintaining its ethos as a value provider.
  • 3. Managing disputes and litigation in a commercial, cost-effective manner.
  • 4. Advising stakeholders on ad hoc legal matters and keeping the Head of Legal and wider team informed at all times of important matters.
  • 5. Getting involved in complex projects, including acquisitions, disposals and corporate finance deals.
  • 6. Advising the marketing and commercial teams on ASA and marketing compliance and ensuring that adverts are both compliant but commercially able to meet business objectives.
