Responsibilities

  • Drafting and negotiating strategic and commercially important contracts for our domestic and international business divisions (as the needs of the business dictate), seeking out and pulling together input from colleagues across various business functions such as Finance, HR, Client Development & Sales and Operations to meet the business’ preferred commercial and legal risk positions;
  • Providing legal support to the Procurement Department in procurement exercises so that terms and conditions work for the business in all respects;
  • Participating in business projects working with the Commercial Head of Legal (where appropriate) to provide guidance and solutions with the aim that legal issues don’t become barriers;
  • Providing legal support in a range of other legal matters including providing advice about the interpretation of contracts, commercial options available under contracts, keeping administrative records of completed and in progress contracts, updating precedent legal documents and providing training (formally and informally) to colleagues across the business about key legal issues;
  • Building relationships with commercial colleagues and embedding awareness of legal risk management and corporate policy issues by way of formal and informal training given to those commercial colleagues;
  • Participating in corporate support work, providing ad hoc company/commercial legal advice;
  • Preparing, reviewing and drafting corporate documents;
  • Identifying and researching various legal issues and assessing their potential impact on Evri.
