Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the legal team and business to find innovative and business friendly solutions, e.g., ensuring swift merchant onboarding, developing legal processes across geographies as well as contributing and driving legal product development
  • Support the sales and partnership teams negotiating major partnerships for YouLend, including participating in the RFP / term sheet process and drafting/updating bespoke agreements. Some of YouLend’s partners include Amazon, Dojo, eBay, Mollie, Paysafe, and Shopify.
  • Support the capital markets teams on existing and new capital mandates
  • Support the product team on YouLend's existing products and the development of new products
  • Draft, review and negotiate agreements, contracts, amendments and other legal documents
  • Respond to ad hoc legal queries from the business, providing appropriate legal solutions
  • Develop and deliver legal trainings across various teams in the organisation
  • Help supervise and mentor junior members of the legal team
  • Ensure successful go live with partners
  • Ensure successful roll-out in new geographies
  • Work with external counsel across jurisdictions to ensure YouLend’s regulatory compliance and manage counsel effectively where they are engaged in connection with specific projects, while establishing your own strong domain expertise.
  • Provide expert and strategic legal advice to the General Counsel and executive management
