  • Qualified UK lawyer.
  • Mid-ranking/ senior with good construction/commercial law experience.
  • Experience of drafting documents, policies, and guidance documents.
  • Confident communication skills with all levels of the business with the ability to professionally deal with objection.

Responsibilities

  • Provision of proactive and practical early legal advice to the Skanska business divisions, to help them achieve their goals in the commercial environment in which they operate.
  • Become a key trusted advisor to project commercial teams in negotiating complex projects.
  • Follow up support to assist in the implementation of solutions to achieve those goals (e.g. assist in negotiation of documentation to close/complete the transaction and then offer “after care” follow up legal support until project has been built/concluded and full payment recovered.).
  • Proactively learn other areas of law as needed.
  • Assist the team with standard documents, training, policies, and guidance.
  • Develop relationships across the business so that Legal are involved early and fully.
  • Work closely with the commercial directors/personnel and project personnel generally.
  • Provide/assist in the provision of workshops, seminars, etc.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from Skanska Group as needed.
  • Proactive and early involvement with relevant areas of the business.
  • Ensure transfer knowledge/best practice.
