Responsibilities

  • Legal support for 2 business units – Europe and America. Working with the following teams in those business units: Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, IT, HR and Finance. Types of typical work includes contract drafting and negotiation, template development, dispute resolution and general advice.
  • Legal Support for the GTR digital and e-commerce teams.
  • Legal approval of marketing materials such as images (VAP’s, billboards), videos, media content, competitions etc.
  • Advising on competition issues.
  • Advising on digital campaigns which involve the processing of consumer personal data to ensure such campaigns are delivered in compliance with data protection legislation.
  • Identify legal issues under any contract or document or applicable laws and the related legal risk(s)
  • Responsible for keeping up to date the databases of the various laws governing the sale and advertising of alcohol and any other applicable laws that may affect the business.
  • Responsible for implementing the data protection programme, identifying possible gaps and implementing remedies.
  • Responsible for day-to-day corporate matters such as board minutes, powers of attorney, document signature and corporate governance.
  • Legal support to create and deliver ongoing legal training for GTR employees (Code of Business Conduct, competition law, data protection).
  • Support the implementation of compliance programmes.
  • Provide support to the GTR Head of Legal for the coordination and implementation of global projects. Creating power point presentations for the senior management, drafting legal advice and notes which shall be delivered to key members of the business (ensuring such advice is pitched in an appropriate style and tone), drafting of corporate authorisations and all other day to day matters.
  • Support the launch of IT tools developed for the legal department.
  • Using the Group’s existing technology and software in order to manage legal risk for a global business.
  • Liaise and work closely with external lawyers on all legal assignments.
  • Liaising and work closely with other internal lawyers working for the group globally.
  • Taking ownership and responsibility for compulsory filings that the company must make in various jurisdictions.
