Responsibilities

  • Leading on legal claims for possession.
  • Working with legal representatives and ensuring the protocol deadlines are adhered to.
  • Working with teams across the Accommodation Directorate to understand the demand signal for SFA from entitled Service Personnel.
  • Working with senior managers to manage cases effectively including engagement with DIO Comms and Parliamentary to ensure high-profile cases are identified and reported on appropriately.
  • Advising on novel or contentious casework and submitting recommendations regarding any enforcement action.
  • Financial forecasting.
  • Monitor payment arrears monthly to ensure legal action is prioritised.
  • Engagement with DBS to minimise debt and maximise recovery.
  • Maintaining a register of all ongoing housing disrepair cases.
  • Collation of documentation from DIO Accommodation teams and Industry Suppliers to support legal cases.
  • Line Management.
