  • As a Litigation Assistant, you play a crucial role in managing a caseload of pre-litigated cases, primarily focused on personal injury claims for our union members.
  • These cases encompass a variety of scenarios, including road traffic accidents, employers' liability, and public liability claims.
  • A very varied role, the Litigation Assistants carry out a range of tasks, including initial assessment on merits when the case exits the portal, obtaining evidence in support of liability including from witnesses and pre action disclosure,
  • As well as obtaining medical evidence where appropriate, instructing non-medical experts where appropriate and decisions on disclosure,
  • they are assessing value of claim, attending on clients, witnesses, experts, union clients, third parties and defendants.
