Responsibilities

  • Act as a public policy SME and strategic advisor on public policy trends by gathering and analyzing external public trend information, grounded in the business context, to provide insights and timely, actionable perspective that supports leadership decision-making on both internal policy development and public positioning
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter and functional experts to support the development of policy positions on key priority areas in People and Planet
  • Cultivate trusted partnerships across the business to advance policy priorities and strengthen cross-functional collaboration
  • Develop customized tools and resources that support aligned messages across a broader cross-section of McDonald’s stakeholders and communities
  • Lead strategic stakeholder engagement, including managing incoming requests efficiently and effectively, engaging with national and international trade groups and coalitions to understand business approaches and opportunities on key issue areas, and providing the business with external insight into public policy approaches
  • Support implementation of new projects and initiatives, as directed
  • Develop a deep understanding of the global brand and business
