Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and verify all demographics including insurance information.
  • Collect co-payments, provide patient with receipt and follow office procedures for co-payment reconciliation.
  • Perform Check-In and Check-Out.
  • Answer multiple phone lines courteously and take messages, or transfer call accordingly.
  • Schedule office, ancillary and specialty appointments as requested by providers.
  • Make follow-up appointments for patient.
  • Send out new patient packets.
  • Obtain precertification and referrals.
  • Assist all providers with Meaningful Use, MSSP, and AQC measures.
  • Document within the electronic medical record (EMR).
