Responsibilities

  • Detecting Financial Crime (DFC) is the department within ABN AMRO that focuses on managing ML/TF and sanction risks. Within Detecting Financial Crime (DFC), the Innovation Design & Change - Data Analytics (IDDA) team is responsible for data and process analytics on a wide variety of topics within the DFC domain to enable data driven decision making. DFC and the three Client Units work closely together to manage the money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions risks we identify as a bank.
  • You will be working as a Data Analyst within the IDDA team. In your role, as a Data Analyst, you will help build mitigating measures for new (client) risks and improve existing ones. You will support all phases of the process, from checking initial data requirements to exploration, prototyping and improving the mitigating measures based on data insights. You will work closely with risk experts and teams that will put your work into production.
  • In this dynamic environment, you will have the opportunity to help the department get to the next stage and initiate improvements. The DFC department brings together a wide range of expertise; there are data analysts, operational specialists, lean consultants, management consultants and subject matter experts.
