What qualifications do I need to apply for the Neonatal Nurse position?
You need to be a Registered Nurse or Midwife with a neonatal qualification, or be willing to undertake Specialty training.
What type of unit will I be working in?
You will be working in a 24-cot Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, level 3, which provides care for infants from 22 weeks and above.
Is experience in neonatal care required?
While experience in neonatal care is beneficial, motivated applicants who are willing to undertake specialty training will also be considered.
What responsibilities will I have as a Neonatal Nurse?
Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, participating in family-centered care, ensuring patient safety, administering medications, and collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team.
Will I receive support and development opportunities?
Yes, you will be actively encouraged to participate and contribute to the development of the Neonatal Service, and clinical supervision will also be part of your role.
