Responsibilities

  • Leads and directs staff communication and compliance monitoring of policies, procedures and practices.
  • Inspires and coaches team members to attain goals and pursue excellence.
  • Confers with network users about how to solve existing system problems.
  • Responds to on-call pages within predefined SLA’s. (On-call support is assigned to team members on a 1-week rotating schedule.)
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware. When problems arise, diagnoses hardware and software problems, and replaces defective components.
  • Configures, test, maintains and administers computer hardware, networking software, operating system software and all configurations.
  • Monitors network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made or where changes will need to be made in the future.
  • Supports PCI security audits and remediation.
  • Designs system software and hardware upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination in support of service requests and implementations.
  • Researches recommendations or solutions for upgrades, improvements and strategies to ensure a stable, available and protected technical infrastructure. Recommends changes to improve system security, network connections and how to control costs. Determines hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
  • Develops relationships and partnerships across all business units, emphasizing business unit’s functions within the company and business unit’s capacity to serve as a productive strategic partner.
  • Confers with network users about how to solve system problems within timelines assigned.
  • Identifies opportunities to conserve financial resources in day-to-day activities and planning and provides recommendations to control costs.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
