Requirements

  • Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program and a minimum of master's degree.
  • Registration with CRNA on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
  • As Required.
  • Nurse Practitioner experience in general internal medicine.
  • Experience working with adult medical patients within the last 5 years.
  • Experience with the development and/or implementation of evidence-based practice.
  • Experience with program development.
  • Completion of leadership related courses within last 3 years.
  • Progressive nursing leadership experience within last 3 years.

Responsibilities

  • As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems.
