Requirements

  • What You Bring:
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 8 or more years of technical acumen and experience with OT/ICS asset monitoring, asset inventory management, vulnerability analysis and management, endpoint protection, SIEM, SOAR, secure remote access, and firewalls.
  • Experience in compliance reporting and audits, including NERC CIP and ISA/IEC 62443, as well as the NIST CSF framework is essential to this role.
  • A history of successfully leading OT/ICS utility cybersecurity projects, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex challenges and drive results.
  • Deep knowledge of cybersecurity practices, especially in OT/ICS environments, equipped with relevant certifications (NERC CIP preferred).
  • A collaborative spirit, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with teams across different disciplines.
  • A commitment to integrity and confidentiality, earning the trust of colleagues and stakeholders alike.
  • Agile methodologies and Scrum experience.
  • Third-party OT/ICS integration with OpenAPI.
  • Bilingual – English is required and Spanish is preferred.

  • As an OT/ICS Digital Grid Cybersecurity Engineer, Americas at Siemens Energy, you'll embark on a journey where each day is a blend of developing transformative compliance-led cybersecurity technology solutions for power grid and utilities organizations as they transition from brownfield to greenfield Digital Grids throughout North and South America. This new energy landscape is fueled by renewable energy sources and leverages technologies including digital twins, grid automation, cyber AI, virtualization, grid emerging technologies, and IIoT edge computing.
  • Your in-depth experience in electric reliability compliance programs and the OT/ICS cybersecurity landscape addressing these standards will be applied to drive innovative solutions to support the electric and power generation objectives of critical infrastructure resiliency, availability, integrity, confidentiality, and reliability.
  • You will play a key role in developing OT/ICS cybersecurity technology solutions supporting cybersecurity governance, gap analysis, maturity assessment, and vulnerability management projects for power generation and utility digital grid customers. Your role is pivotal to maintaining open lines of communication with stakeholders to support our key values of collaboration, innovation, and making a tangible impact.
