Requirements

  • - It is essential that you have a valid and recognised teaching qualification
  • - You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • - You must have recent experience teaching PE to secondary school aged students
  • - It would be advantageous if you have experience coaching a rounders or netball team, but not essential
  • - The position is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers
  • - QTS, QTLS or equivalent
  • - Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however, training can be provided)
  • - Up to date Prevent Awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided)
  • - Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • - Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • - Provide two professional child related references

Responsibilities

  • - Teach classes across key stage 3 and key stage 4.
  • - Cover for a staff member who is going on maternity leave.
  • - Work full time for the whole of the 24/25 academic year.
  • - Attend parents evenings and departmental meetings as required.
