What is the primary responsibility of the Planner for Technical Services: Audio/Video/Projection at Universal Epic Universe?
The primary responsibility is to manage preventative and predictive maintenance, job planning, scheduling, and documentation related to parts procurement and inventory for attractions within the Audio/Video/Projection work areas.
What qualifications are required for this position?
A high school degree or GED is required, with a preference for technical school completion. An Associate degree in General Education or Technology is preferred, along with 5+ years of technical maintenance experience, and 3+ years in theme park maintenance is preferred.

The Planner ensures proper maintenance scheduling by working closely with the ride management team to plan projects, providing detailed scopes of work, written procedures, and estimated resources needed for project completion.
What type of documentation does the Planner manage?
The Planner manages all documentation related to parts procurement, preventative and predictive maintenance programs, parts inventory, job plan updates, and compliance documentation as per UO Engineering and OEM direction.
What kind of training or involvement in safety procedures is expected from the Planner?
The Planner is expected to understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by adhering to established UO policies, procedures, and participating in training and team member involvement activities.
Are there any specific software or systems the Planner needs to interact with?
Yes, the Planner needs to manage attraction chemicals in the EHS SDS Database (currently Sphera) and coordinate pressure vessel inspections and compliance.
What is the process the Planner follows for vendor coordination and project planning?
The Planner serves as a liaison between vendors and venues for attraction repairs and enhancements, coordinates work schedules, ensures tooling and parts are available, and writes scopes of work and necessary project documentation.
