Responsibilities

  • To assist in the provision of an efficient, high quality patient treatment planning service for Radiotherapy.
  • Provide advice to the Clinical Oncologists, Radiographers and Physicists.
  • Assist with an in-vivo dosimetry service.
  • Participate in the teaching, training and development work of the Section.
  • The postholder has a responsibility to report all abnormal or unusual results, or measurements lying outside tolerance limits, to the Head of Section or deputy.
  • The work requires a high degree of accuracy with the postholder having a strong sense of responsibility and displaying personal initiative.
  • The postholder will be an Operator as defined by the Ionising Radiation Medical Exposure Regulations (IRMER 2017).
