Responsibilities

  • Engaging in the product development process
  • Identifying the linkages between material costs/ consumptions and how that drives overall FOBs for various styles
  • Creating a cost budget and a matrix to support product creation teams in setting up target prices
  • Selecting appropriately priced materials/constructions to achieve margin targets
  • Attending product design reviews, detail meetings, and documenting product opportunities for cost improvement
  • Using notes to create training curriculum and train product creation teams on cost improvement opportunities.
  • Leading efforts to improve cost transparency in the areas of labor, overhead, and profit (LOP)
  • Liaising with sourcing offices to gather information on the cost drivers of LOP at each factory
  • Defining approaches and processes for working with suppliers to properly allocate LOP to individual products to create improved cost transparency as an input to merchandising’s pricing models
  • Providing product cost info and validating product standard cost
  • Analyzing variance to support the finance standard cost reroll process
  • Documenting margin management process and narratives
  • Identifying improvement opportunities
  • Driving solutions to automate process and data tools to enhance operations efficiency
  • Supporting strategic margin improvement business initiatives that deliver better margins to Ariat profitability expectations.
