Responsibilities

  • Support the development of product line strategy and implementation of existing and new products through the distribution network globally.
  • Conduct market research, competitive intelligence efforts to ensure market-driven product direction is achieved.
  • Work closely with design engineering to ensure functional specifications are achieved through technical design of product.
  • Maintain & establish relationships with new and existing customers (end user and Komatsu distributor sales and service teams) to educate and promote product lines and services.
  • Liaise with technical product support, engineering personnel and sales. Advise engineering, quality, supply chain and manufacturing departments of technical issues, potential solutions or product enhancements to mitigate negative impact and protect or grow the overall business.
  • Gather and maintain competitive pricing models and market data for underground drilling products.
  • Support commercial and aftermarket teams for drill rigs (jumbos, shaft equipment, etc.) through planning, training, program development as required.
  • Work with Marketing and Drills Product Management on launching products, programs and solutions. Draft documentation as required including:
  • Announcements
  • Photos, Videos, Artwork
  • Internal/External Campaigns
  • Chatter/Komatsu Connect/Yammer
