Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Dean/Associate Dean, the Program Specialist’s duties will include: academic advising for all current Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Nursing After Degree students, evaluating student records and responding to specific student requests and inquiries. The incumbent will guide students through their program, assisting with planning, course selection, and adherence to policies and regulations (both academic and non-academic). This position will also play a key role in the retention of students by teaching them how their degree program works and keeping them on track towards the successful completion of required courses. The successful candidate will also be required to attend booth fairs and deliver advising presentations at on- and off-campus events (orientations, Ahead of the Herd, Open House, etc.) for marketing programs/majors, and recruiting prospective students.
