Responsibilities

  • General BA:
  • Collaborate and communicate with all stakeholders to ensure operational goals are being met in line with IT IBP and GCAP Budget
  • Determine what projects / programmes are within planned IBP and GCAP budget that will meet business objectives.
  • Recommend and assess the impact of change brought about by new and existing projects and programmes.
  • Identify and mitigate strategic and project / programme operational and technical risks
  • Maintain working relationships between IT and business consumers and customers
  • Support development of architectural road maps by gathering business requirements (functional and non-functional)
  • Working collaboratively with both internal and external customer to understand the business requirements, demand and associated capabilities.
  • Project BA – specific lifecycle responsibilities:
  • Work with Business Partner and Product Owner to ensure New Demand projects align to operational goals and IBP schedule and financial planning.
  • Collaborate with Business Partner, Enterprise Architects, Operations, Product Owner and Service Transition to prioritise project / programme technical and functional requirements, identifying what the client wants and determining what is feasible to deliver.
  • Work with Business Partner to ensure project / programme passes Gate 1 Stage Gate Review in line with customer requirements.
  • Support Project Manager with overseeing and co-ordinating projects and programmes, specifically:-
  • Ensuring comprehensive project / programme requirements are collated during Initiation phase (post Gate 1).
  • Ensure handover of project / programme to allocated Project Manager leading up to Gate 2 Stage Gate Review move into Planning.
  • Ensure engagement with Service Transition and capture operational readiness review activities where required.
  • Supporting Project Manager to project / programme planning, preparing and maintaining documentation, collaborating with Commercial to review contracts and financials, monitoring project activities and evaluating overall success and business alignment.
