Responsibilities

  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert in the StandardAero Product Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Facilitates SMS related tools, methods and concepts as defined in SA policies and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable with product flight safety critical parts and processes to mitigate unacceptable risk.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting and initiating responses to flight/product safety concerns.
  • Participates in proactive risk analysis of flight/product safety critical parts and processes.
  • Recognizes and understands the Just Culture policy.
  • Develops/initiates and maintains quality measures of performance for key/critical processes using established company databases and report tools.
  • Communicates and coordinates quality assurance reporting and events regarding product quality.
  • Investigates and reports on quality concerns and potential implications with warranty and safety issues.
  • Analyzes, assesses, and reports quality and operational data as needed by management.
  • Generates statistical reports identifying quality concerns for submission to various levels of management for review and corrective action.
  • Researches quality methodology and solves quality problems using a team-based approach.
  • Aids in the development of methods and standards for inspection, testing and evaluation using statistical techniques, including the use of statistical techniques.
  • Establishes programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement and analytical equipment and facilities.
  • Assists the Training department with the development and presentation of training on quality topics in areas that may include:
  • The Quality Program, SMS, Continual Improvement, Corrective Action, Root Cause Analysis, Product Inspection, Lean methodologies, Measurement methodologies, statistical process control and test fixture operations.
  • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
  • Carries out special projects as assigned.
