Responsibilities

  • Perform world-class antibody discovery & optimisation work (including phage and yeast display technologies, library construction, selection, screening and sequencing) within a team of researchers addressing the business requirements of BMD.
  • Provide technical support in protein engineering for drug discovery, across functions.
  • Perform trouble-shooting and resolution of experimental issues.
  • Mentor technical training in key technology areas for group members, where needed.
  • Author reports, publications and technical manuals for lab experimental procedures.
  • Facilitate cross-functional project teams internally within the local team, across BMD and between BMD and WRD research units (RUs).
  • Implement effective technology improvement processes by which optimised scientific and technological solutions are provided to BMD and the RUs.
  • Develop and maintain productive links with colleagues in BMD and across WRD, to maintain up to date information, skills and knowledge base for the team.
  • The role may evolve to include project leadership.
