Responsibilities

  • The Receptionist role is a great starting point to begin a career in healthcare or an excellent opportunity to gain new skills and experience.
  • The successful candidate will have the chance to make a real difference by providing a high quality, efficient, customer-focused service for our Trust's. We are looking for someone with excellent IT skills and be able to work effectively under pressure. You should be flexible, possess strong team values, able to work in a fast-paced environment while providing a high-quality customer service and enjoy working with the public. A commitment to further training and development and exceptional communication skills are also essential. The role requires excellent telephone and face to face conducts, a high standard of written English and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • This includes following trust standards for meeting and greeting patients and recording information on the Lorenzo system and escalating any delays to the Patient Flow Facilitator. As well as assisting the ward team by request/book hospital transport for eligible patients.
  • When you start, you will receive a documented training programme for you to feel supported in the role with opportunities to regularly review your progress with your mentor. The functional areas of training, which are all carried out on the patient's electronic medical record are:
