Responsibilities

  • Act as a champion of reliability within the asset, coaching and influencing at all levels to increase focus on understanding and eliminating root causes of unreliability
  • Provide support and conduct risk assessments as needed. Facilitate learning from repetitive failures and reliability events. Perform Deep Dives on equipment and processes based on performance, risk, criticality. Techniques to employ here include FMEA and Fault Tree
  • Act as the custodian to implement and execute the (Managing Threats & Opportunities) MTO process, providing support and coaching to the production teams in threat (and opportunity) identification, ranking, investigation, and close-out. Maintain the MTO database
  • Support the Investigation process by facilitating reliability investigations. Champion efforts to grow causal learning use at the site
  • Analyses Plant reliability performance data (production losses) utilizing reliability engineering tools (FMEA, reliability modelling, Weibull analysis) and provide reliability data to site personnel (for project forms, asset master planning, risk assessments, reliability reviews) to identify and understand threats to reliability and availability. Apply RCA techniques to understanding and eliminating those threats
  • Assure Reliability Metrics are compiled and data communicated to the site - including site leadership, production teams, and run and maintain organization. Provide updates to Leadership Team on big hit items closure status and mitigation of other reliability threats
  • Initiate and progress any changes (PM routines, procedural/process changes) through the MOC process as required to improve reliability performance
  • Link between the Production teams and Maintenance attendance/participation in routine run and maintain meetings to ensure Preventative Maintenance (PM's), Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), and other aspects of reliability are represented
  • Act as custodian of the Manage Equipment Care (MEC) process. Maintain schedule for maintenance strategy reviews and conduct the review based on Risk & Reliability Management principles with tools such as PM Optimization (PMO), REM strategy reviews, RCM and PM Library where applicable. Implement condition-based maintenance (CBM) approach and condition monitoring (CM) strategies where appropriate
