The primary responsibility of the Research Associate II is to perform technical laboratory processes, including conducting assays and clinical testing activities in a GxP/GLP environment, as well as optimizing and qualifying assays.
What kind of assays will the Research Associate II be performing?
The Research Associate II will be responsible for performing COVID assays, ELISA and cell-based assays, as well as generating high throughput clinical data for Influenza Microneutralization and Hemagglutination Inhibition assays.
Is there a specific educational requirement for this position?
Yes, a Bachelor’s degree in biological science, molecular biology, immunology, or equivalent years of relevant industry experience is required.
How many years of industry experience are required for this position?
At least 1-3 years of hands-on industry experience with different types of ELISA assays is required.
What laboratory techniques should the candidate be familiar with?
The candidate should be familiar with cell culture, ELISA, immunoassays, and aseptic techniques, as well as working in a BSL-2/BSL-2 plus laboratory.
Will the Research Associate II be responsible for training other analysts?
Yes, the individual is expected to play a key role in training and delegating work to analysts on a day-to-day basis following direction from the lab lead or manager.
What software knowledge is required for this position?
