What is the primary responsibility of the Research Technician role?
The primary responsibility of the Research Technician is to provide technical support to complete projects undertaken at the lab under the supervision of the Project Officer in charge.
What tasks are expected to be undertaken in this position?
The tasks include hair follicle and skin organ culture, fixation and embedding of tissue, performing immunohistochemical stains and molecular biology techniques, using immunofluorescence and light microscopy, image analysis, and general organization of the lab.
What qualifications are required for this position?
Candidates should have completed training as a Medical/Biological-technical assistant or hold an honors bachelor degree in a relevant subject, as well as knowledge in immunohistochemistry and routine histology.
Is proficiency in English necessary for this role?
Yes, sound knowledge of English is required as it is the company language.
Do you prefer candidates with experience in a specific area?
Yes, candidates with documented know-how and experience in skin and/or hair research will be preferred.
