Responsibilities

  • As a Reservations Agent at The Standard, Brussels you will become part of our small reservations team and oversee all room and restaurant bookings. You’ll be one of our guests’ very first points of contact, responsible for mainly handling a range of individual booking enquiries over the telephone, over email or via one of online booking platforms. Working in Opera Cloud, you will be responsible to ensure all guest needs and room requirements are recorded. You will have a natural affinity for our unique brand and hospitality and will be able to connect instantly with our guests over the phone or via in order to understand and accurately capture our guests’ requests, providing information on our rooms, restaurant and bars, and group bookings to identify future selling opportunities. In addition to Room Reservations, you will also handle our Restaurant bookings and will be an important link between the reservations and operations team communicating special requests, dietary needs and table requests in conjunction with our Restaurant Host teams. You’ll also work closely with our Restaurant managers in order to plan, manage and forecast covers for each service session. This is not a 'Standard' Reservations Agent position, our Reservations team ensure we continually engage with our guests to deliver a truly bespoke service experience, that is anything but Standard! so in addition to an analytical brain, you will need to have miles and miles of personality and stamina, be highly social, upbeat and friendly; confident and can handle pressure well; thrive in a high-volume, high-energy environment and able to work equally well both independently and as part of a team.
