Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of post-secondary study
  • University / College Graduate of an Early Childhood Services program or Recreation Management
  • CPR and First Aid Certificate
  • Previous leadership role experience
  • Extensive customer service experience, ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Act as a mentor who can train and lead colleagues in all areas of the Resort Activities department
  • Cultivate an environment that supports staff and fosters employee development
  • Provide training resources for employees in POS, product and service knowledge, guest service and activities
  • Develop staff through coaching and performance appraisals
  • Support and work hand-in-hand with the retail and repair departments
  • Develop and improve our guests offerings
  • Perform all administrative functions including proper record keeping of all training programs, payroll, SOPs, point-of-sale system management, and operational health and safety
  • Maintain and improve processes to ensure timely and accurate service of all guests
  • Efficient administration and coordination of inventory management activities including purchase orders, receiving documents, invoices, warranty returns and special orders
  • Responsible for appropriate staff levels to meet requirements of the department while staying within budget
  • Report staff hours to the Payroll department and respond to inquiries
  • Direct customer interaction – exemplary in all aspects of customer service
  • Handle customer comments/concerns/questions
  • Achieve performance targets including speed, accuracy, guest satisfaction and profitability in all Resort Activities departments
  • Maintain merchandising and cleanliness standards
  • Implement and maintain daily operating procedures for opening and closing, store cleanliness, stocking, and guest service
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives
  • Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives
  • Carry out any other tasks as assigned
