The primary role of the RN Cath Lab Nurse is to provide professional nursing care utilizing patient-family centered care principles within a multidisciplinary team environment throughout the cath lab care continuum (Pre/Intra/Post Lab).
What are the educational requirements for this position?
The position requires an Associate's degree in Nursing, and a Bachelor's in Nursing is required within 5 years. Additionally, graduates from a non-accredited school must have at least one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed healthcare role and must have passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
Is prior experience required for the RN Cath Lab Nurse position?
Yes, a minimum of one year of acute care experience is required, with at least one year of relevant experience in Critical Care, Cath Lab, or Procedural/OR highly preferred.
Are there any required certifications for this position?
Yes, an AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days, and an AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within 6 months of employment.
What shift will the RN Cath Lab Nurse work?
