Responsibilities

  • Select, install and program and optimize code for vision camera systems fully automated according to the project needs (Cognex, Fanuc cameras as examples) such as inspection, quality control or precise component installation in vehicle with moving conveyor.
  • Program and teach industrial 6-axis robots (Kuka and Fanuc).
  • Sequence complex, multi-station machinery for material pick-and-place, dispense, fastening, welding and conveyance applications.
  • Responsible for continuous process optimization of automated lines.
  • Become owner / subject matter expert to drive equipment-related process improvement including detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Plan design and implement automated robotics systems for manufacturing / quality control.
  • Program and calibrate robots and vision system for specific application connecting data with several TESLA subsequent system for live making decisions as well as archive.
  • Optimize systems by adjusting parameters and implementing new control strategy, best case develop own algorithm for image processing.
  • Interface process and test equipment with Tesla MES and production quality databases using Python scripting and SQL.
  • Develop and improve equipment validation procedures including calibration and qualification.
  • Provide hands-on support to maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve extended downtime situations.
  • Familiarity with SPC and development of equipment-related OCAP.
