Responsibilities

  • The Senior Administrator, Risk Management will have principal responsibility for the following:
  • Supporting the Senior Manager, Risk Management in developing Risk Management as a discipline by:
  • Championing an effective Risk & Compliance culture;
  • Assisting with the identification, monitoring and reporting of risk within the business;
  • Supporting risk and control assessment processes;
  • Ensuring that applicable and relevant policies and procedures are kept up to date for changes in any environmental factors;
  • Supporting Policy Governance initiatives, including development and maintenance of the Cluster’s framework for developing and maintaining policies and procedures.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with colleagues at all levels to be able to assist with any risk and compliance issues in a proactive and timely manner;
  • Assisting the operational areas to identify and embed key risk management controls, including policies and procedures.
  • Collating data to drive Management Information (MI), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and other information for reporting to the relevant local Boards and Committees, Group Risk & Compliance and other relevant stakeholders on a periodic basis;
  • Supporting the function in managing and reporting breaches, loss events/incidents and any other instances of non-compliance in an independent and appropriate manner;
  • Supporting training initiatives on risk management matters to improve risk and compliance awareness amongst first line of defence staff; and
  • Enhancing governance arrangements (for example around project delivery) across the Risk & Compliance function
  • Leading on certain projects, changes and initiatives which appropriately manage risk, create efficiencies and move the business forward
  • Supporting a robust Financial Crime risk management framework and culture:
  • Where relevant, assisting in the preparation and maintenance of Business Risk Assessments in line with applicable regulatory requirements, or other comparable Risk Assessment activities;
  • Supporting colleagues in all aspects of process and procedure maintenance;
  • Supporting and facilitating Group reporting and escalations, for example Very High Risk Client submissions to Group Reputational Risk Committee (GRRC);
  • Providing independent support as may be required from time to time in relation to internal investigations
  • Compliance monitoring and assurance activities:
  • Providing support with the development of Compliance Monitoring Programmes (CMP) from a risk management perspective.
  • Support the management of regulatory relationships:
  • Supporting the Head of Risk & Compliance in liaison/interface with the applicable regulatory authorities, as may be required. This may include contributions:
  • Supporting a constructive, open and transparent ongoing communication process with our regulator[s];
  • Supporting applications for new or amended regulatory authorisations to ensure that Isle of Man Cluster holds and maintains all necessary licenses for its regulated activities;
  • Supporting the response to results of regulatory examinations and inspections;
  • Supporting the disclosure/notification to regulator of reportable items and events; and;
  • Assisting in the accurate and timely submission of all required regulatory returns.
  • Other:
  • Provision of other support as required / requested from time to time pursuant to the above activities.
  • Management of the Cluster’s relationship with Group Internal Audit
