Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a similar function, preferably in an international corporation or commodity trading/producing company
  • Fluent in English (any additional languages beneficial)

Responsibilities

  • Support in the implementation of the Corporate Compliance Programme in the relevant assets and operations in conjunction with the Oil Assets Compliance Team, Head of Oil Compliance and the Group Compliance Team, including Regional Compliance Coordinators
  • Support with performing periodic risk assessments for compliance related matters in the relevant assets and operations in the relevant region
  • Adapting corporate compliance policies and guidelines for local circumstances relevant to the assets and operations
  • Liaising with commercial and joint venture partners on compliance issues, including the roll out of policies, procedures and guidelines equivalent to those utilised within the Glencore group
  • Support in preparing written reports/presentations for Senior Management of the Oil division on the status of the Compliance Programme and roll out within Glencore’s assets and operations
  • Providing advice to the business units (with our assets and operations) regarding day-to-day compliance related matters
  • Providing training (both in-country and via video-conferencing) to the business within assets and our operations and raising awareness regarding compliance related matters
  • Helping to develop annual training plans for each asset or operation
  • Working with the local Compliance Coordinators and the Corporate Compliance team to create compliance controls and monitoring adherence to them
  • Supporting in reviewing and tracking the reporting and closure of investigations
  • Interacting with Compliance staff, other control function personnel, and employees and management in all lines of the business
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory developments as well as evolving best practices in compliance topics and management.
