Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant with strong post qualification experience
  • Strong Retail/Ecommerce experience working in a commercial finance environment
  • Experience of a Direct Marketing operating model would be a distinct advantage
  • Highly commercial and analytical with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise way
  • Excellent excel skills and general systems literacy
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence Finance and Non-Finance Business Partners at all levels and have the confidence to challenge them on their outlook
  • Tenacity, an eye for detail, accuracy, and a passion for Retail/Ecommerce

Responsibilities

  • Drive business performance by providing analysis, insight and commentary on the Digital Channel sales performance, highlighting key trends and risks and/or opportunities
  • Ownership of the planning/budgeting/forecasting process for both P&L and Capex, ensuring financial impacts of the Digital Channel activities are fully understood
  • Work with the Marketing teams in building a budget from a customer perspective using acquisition and retention plans as well as the Trading team from a trading calendar perspective
  • Ownership of the month-end management accounts process for Digital, Marketing and Creative, ensuring variances to budget and forecast are fully understood and explained
  • Ownership and continuous improvement of current reporting and the design of new tools and templates to improve understanding of Digital Channel sales performance
  • Responsibility for budgeting and forecasting the sales and gross profit of the Digital channel ensuring both top line assumptions and phasing are robust
  • Financial evaluation of new initiatives, business activities and capital investments (e.g. free returns, click + collect, site improvements etc)
  • Financial analysis of Digital specific KPI’s including Conversion Rate, Marketing spend % Total Company Sales, CPA, Lifetime Value, Retention Rate etc
  • Broader stakeholder and financial responsibility for all reporting & analysis of Direct, Creative and Marketing performance on a monthly & adhoc basis focusing on the key events & drivers
  • Presenting key facts & figures to non financial stakeholders in Monthly meetings
  • All aspects of people management and development of the Senior Finance Analyst
  • Adhoc Commercial Finance support as required
