Requirements

  • Relevant Service Design experience
  • Substantial experience in working in project/programme environments involving business & IT change
  • Design experience within any of the following types of organisations/sectors: financial services, government/regulatory body, technology, consultancy (ideally IT consultancy)
  • Ability to examine complex systems and create coherent artefacts like journey maps or service blueprints
  • An ability to generate multiple solutions to a problem, and use hypotheses to help test your ideas
  • Expert in user-centred design ways of working and how service design integrates with other roles to achieve successful outcomes
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data about users to inform service design artefacts and any subsequent findings
  • Fluent in a number of prototyping techniques, from paper prototyping to HTML prototypes, and an ability to identify when to use each
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and meet their needs with the service improvements you design

  • Design service improvements through the use of data, design thinking and agile ways of working to solve problems, test ideas quickly, iterate what you do and embed a learning culture
  • Develop journey maps, service blueprints and other artefacts that best communicate systems, opportunity, and vision to varying audiences
  • Support the development and growth of our design community of practice
  • Put accessibility and inclusion at the heart of your service design recommendations, helping create products that work for our diverse range of users

The salary range for this position is £56,400 to £75,000 for London and £51,200 to £68,000 for National roles.
