Responsibilities

  • Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of 2 fulltime staff plus about 15 temporary seasonal employees during peak season
  • Ensure effective operation, productivity and maintenance of site facilities
  • Conduct on the job training with all new employees and ensure current employees are properly trained in their positions
  • Ensure our safety program is being followed, help to develop and embed our safety culture
  • Ensure proper safety policies and procedures are followed; actively participate in health & safety initiatives, taking a lead role in safety optimization in the drive towards zero incidents
  • Ensure our plants are properly maintained in a way to minimize downtime
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedule for all key components of our blending line and equipment
  • Work with Sales and Site Manager to operate within budget expectations
  • Coordinate contractor truck drivers and seasonal staff
  • Responsible for inventory management (receiving, tracking, orders, transfers)
  • Manage small bag and tote bag lines and schedules
