What is the main focus of the Specialist Clinical Pharmacist role?
The main focus of the Specialist Clinical Pharmacist role is to provide support in critical care, assist the nutrition team, and ensure safe delivery of medicines across Queens Hospital and its affiliated sites.
Is there an opportunity for training in this position?
Yes, there will be training provided in critical care and parenteral nutrition, and support for completing the Independent Prescriber course if you are not already certified.
Will I have the chance to mentor other pharmacists?
Yes, you will have the opportunity to support and mentor trainee and junior pharmacists, and possibly become a pre-registration tutor if you are interested.
What are the working hours for this role?
The role includes participation in weekend and on-call services across Queens Hospital and its affiliated sites.

Yes, there may be opportunities for cross-site working at Derby Hospital, and some training will take place there to ensure a wide range of patient experiences.
