What qualifications are required for the HIMS Specialist role?
An Associate of Science degree in a healthcare-related discipline is required, with a preference for an Associate of Science degree in Health Information Technology. Candidates currently completing their HIT program will also be considered, provided they can complete their degree within six months of hire.
Is there a preference for any certifications for this position?
Yes, candidates with Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certifications are preferred.
What are the core working hours for this position?
The core hours are from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM CST, and shifts can be scheduled between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
