Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close tasks including preparing journal entries, accruals, account reviews and balance sheet account reconciliations, identifying and investigating discrepancies
  • Assist with financial reporting and review, year-end audit, and tax return preparation
  • Oversee Accounts Payable activities, including coding and routing invoices for payment; and issuing payments. Ensure all invoices, check requests, expenses and bills have been properly authorized and backup detail is supplied to support charge
  • Review expense reports to ensure proper coding of expenses and adherence to the stated travel policy and procedures
  • Ensure all contractor tax info is on file, and process and send 1099s
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable activities, including customer payment application and the liaising with the account managers on collections
  • Assist the Project Operations team with time tracking, expense review, and project reporting
  • Provide monthly budget reporting to relevant department heads
  • Make suggestions for improving accounting processes and procedures to ensure the safeguarding of company assets
  • Maintain fixed asset ledger and depreciation schedules
  • Perform other data entry functions into various databases and sub-systems
  • Research and resolve questions related to general ledger items
  • Support annual external audit and tax activities including providing requested support documentation
  • Create and document accounting processes, workflows and procedures, as needed
  • Other ad hoc projects as assigned
